I went through Jefferson Community School in 2006 and 2007 when I was 13 and 14. Going to Phapang completely changed my view of travel- I realized I would never want to just visit a place as a tourist, because it was interacting with the Thais as a friend, teacher, student, that stayed with me. I remember driving into the village the second year and crying because I felt HOME in a way I never had before (I am not easy to cry, so it was a telling moment). I am so grateful to Robbie for helping kids experience not only the world, but how travel is not about the places, it's about the people. I'm glad you are writing the article- thanks.
